The best part of my work is collaborating and putting together a mix of interesting and thoughtful stories around a particular theme as we dig deep to explore every aspect of the landscape and our environment from a horticultural perspective.

In recent months I’ve been collaborating with Lisa Lee Benjamin, an environmental design and development consultant. Lisa is my guest co-editor for the upcoming fall issue of Pacific Horticulture where we’re taking a fresh look at Green Roofs and what they have to offer the urban environment and native habitat.

citiesalive_SANFRAN_featureIt’s an exciting time in horticulture as designers, city planners, and green roof industry professionals think creatively about how to GREEN the urban environment. Pacific Horticulture is pleased to partner with Green Roof Healthy Cities (GRHC) at the upcoming CitiesAlive Green Roof and Wall conference in San Francisco, October 23-26, 2013.

Want to play along?  GRHC is offering our readers free trade show passes during the conference and a $25 discount on green roof and wall training presented by GRHC when you register using discount code PACHORT25.  Landscape design student are invited to join in with the CitiesAlive Student Design Challenge.

Prepare to be inspired!
