The Hardy Fern Foundation Turns Twenty

The Hardy Fern Foundation’s goals are “to establish a comprehensive collection of the world’s hardy ferns for display, testing, evaluation, public education, and introduction to the gardening and horticultural community.” The ideal site was in Federal Way, Washington, at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden, a woodland garden covering twenty-two acres, with a collection of rhododendrons and related woody plants.
