Mid-Autumn Celebration

In China and and Chinese communities around the word, friends and relatives gather in mid-September to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is traditionally a time set aside to enjoy the successful fall harvest with offerings of melons, mooncakes and pomegranates in honor of the moon.

A program of the Lan Su Chinese Garden, a traditional Chinese garden located in downtown Portland which offers a window into Chinese culture, history, and way of thinking.
