Water-wise landscapes can be lush and sensuous, too. This talk’s colorful images of low-water plants, unique planting designs and distinctive garden features prove that gardens can be exuberant, even tropical in feeling, and still meet today’s strict irrigation standards. Richard Hayden is a Los Angeles-based landscape designer whose vibrant site-sensitive work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Elle Decorand Martha Stewart Living magazines, among others. He is president of the Greater Los Angeles District of APLD (Assoc. of Professional Landscape Designers).

A program of the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, which has a mission to foster awareness and appreciate of the role of plants in nature and human affairs.
