On October 14th, Leach Botanical Garden will host a Garden Party – a special fund-raising event to mark our 30th Anniversary and introduce the vision for the next thirty years. The event will pay tribute to some of the people responsible for very existenance of Leach Botanical Garden and other gardens in Portland, and to those whose recent actions have paved the way for the Garden’s renaissance.
Guests will be treated to Lydia Reissmueller’s special “Cocktails from the Collection”, scrumptious food from Vibrant Table, and the first peek at the newly completed design for the Upper Garden. Landscape Architect Carol Mayer Reed will be onhand to describe the design details, aided by lovely watercolor renderings highlighting key features in the new landscape. It’s a special event not to be missed!
This is a program of the Leach Botanical Garden, whose Friends maintain and enahance the Garden’s living collection in order to educate, research and serve the preserve the legacy of the Garden’s founders, John and Lilla Leach.
