The Ruth Bancroft Garden is pleased to host a lecture on Aesthetic Pruning with the world renowned aesthetic pruner, Mr. Dennis Makishima. Dennis Makishima combines horticultural science, bonsai aesthetics, and creative interpretation of small trees in his work. At this educational event, glean the introductory basics of how to prune trees and shrubs. Additionally, learn the aesthetic techniques that enhance the finished product and express the beauty of the plant’s form. Learn to make pruning an artistic expression rather than a chore!
