The Richard and Bracey Tiede Legacy Group
The Richard and Bracey Tiede Legacy Group is named in honor of Richard and Bracey Tiede.
When you include Pacific Horticulture in your estate plans you join a visionary group of generous people who, like Richard and Bracey Tiede, demonstrate the power of gardens to enrich lives and heal the environment.
The Group recognizes the generosity and foresight of all who have made planned gifts to Pacific Horticulture.
Does this story sound familiar?
The stories of great contributors to horticulture are often described by the people whose lives (and gardens!) they have touched through their passion and projects, from their nearby neighbors to their broadest community.
Richard and Bracey worked tirelessly to support the initiatives of Pacific Horticulture throughout the Pacific region; their impact is also greatly felt locally in Santa Clara County where they were trusted resources and active University of California Master Gardeners providing public outreach on horticultural best practices and contributing their leadership expertise to the organization. Their commitment to mentoring, educating, and connecting others to nature—young and old—was demonstrated by their leadership at the Western Horticultural Society and the Mediterranean Garden Society, and their long-time guidance and support of Pacific Horticulture as well as their efforts to make possible the extensive interpretive signage in the demonstration gardens of the South County and Palo Alto Teaching and Demonstration Gardens in Martial Cottle Park. Through their estate bequest, Richard and Bracey Tiede are able to continue their commitment to helping others learn about and participate in creating a resilient world dependent on the cultivation of plants.
