Spring 2022
I live for gardening! It’s about being connected to the place where I live, and to the plants and wildlife I share it with. We have a duty to help support and conserve native plants, whether it’s in the wild or in our gardens.
As gardeners, we all need to understand the tremendous threats to plants and animals in the wild so that we can become better stewards of the land we tend. Support for organizations like CNPS and Pacific Horticulture really matters because they both play a critical role in educating gardeners and the public at large. I depend upon the educational resources at Pacific Horticulture, from the webinars and podcasts to the garden tours, to keep me on my toes. And the information I get from CNPS keeps me informed about the Society’s vital conservation work as well as new ways that I might incorporate native plants into my own garden.
What’s so wonderful about the natural world and gardening is that you are constantly exposed to new ideas and information. And so, I encourage you to join both Pacific Horticulture and California Native Plant Society – for the access to expertise and resources, innovative gardening techniques, and for the connections to others who share your enthusiasm for plants. If you are not already a member, join Pacific Horticulture today.
Pacific Horticulture members can join California Native Plant Society for $30, 40% off the regular price! As a CNPS member, you’ll receive the beautiful Flora magazine, filled with native gardening tips, inspiring interviews, and photo essays. You’ll be connected with your local CNPS chapter for native plant sales, garden tours, and more. And you’ll be eligible for discounts at nurseries across the state! https://bit.ly/PACHORT Welcome!
