The Urban Bee Lab at University of California Berkeley and Davis is a team of researchers and colleagues who collectively study, conserve, and promote native bee populations. Kathleen Sayce is an ecologist with a M. Sci. in Botany from Washington State University. She is a board member of the Society for Pacific Coast Native Iris and lives on Willapa Bay, in southwestern Washington where she does wetland and ecological consulting and studies high diversity wild lands. In her low-input garden Kathleen focuses on improving soil and plant health using local amendments and native plants.
