Sue Milliken and Kelly Dodson are the owners of Far Reaches Farm, a rare plant specialty nursery in Port Townsend, Washington. Sue and Kelly are also the founders of Far Reaches Botanical Conservancy, a nonprofit organization committed to acquiring and conserving horticulturally and botanically important plants, and sharing information about their collection.

Cassy Aoyagi serves as a board member of the U.S. Green Building Council’s thought-leading Los Angeles Chapter. She is an accredited designer in USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and SITEs programs and the former board president of the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wildflowers and Native Plants. Aoyagi is president of FormLA Landscaping where she aims to transform even L.A.’s urban spaces into vibrantly beautiful, optimally sustainable, places to connect with nature.

Henri Bensussen has published poems and stories in various journals and anthologies, including Sinister Wisdom and Bridges; a poetry chapbook, “Earning Colors” was published by Finishing Line Press in 2015. She earned a B.A. in Biology from UCSC, tho it took a long time. Over the past 17 years, she developed a large garden in Fort Bragg, on the Mendocino Coast, but now lives in a small apartment where roof rats have reduced the few potted plants on her balcony to nubs.

Amy Campion is a freelance writer, editor, and photographer based in Portland, Oregon where she is an active member of the Hardy Plant Society.
