San Diego Horticultural Society presents a talk with Jo O’Connell, owner of Australia Native Plants Nursery, located in Ojai Valley.
Australian Native Plants was established in the early 1990’s by Jo O’Connell with the help of her husband Byron Cox. From the beginning, their vision was to provide plants that are hardy, drought tolerant, cut flower producing and bird attracting.
Their aim is to offer a quality grown plants from the many diverse plant communities in Australia.
They propagate most of their own plant material, but also buy plants in from other nurseries that grow Australian plants in California. They also import seed and plants from Australia, and take cuttings from plants on their property and the many gardens they have been involved with in the area.
Before and after the meeting Jo will be selling plants from their nursery Australia Native Plants
