The sights, smells, and tastes of the summer garden are a treat for the senses. Flowers abound in the Garden, fruit is bursting from the trees in the Orchard, and wildlife is busy everywhere. Join us for two days of talks, walks, demos, and hands–on fun while exploring the bounty of the summer garden as presented by our knowledgeable instructors, staff, and volunteers.
Special guest speaker, Teri Dunn Chace, author of Seeing Flowers: Discover the Hidden Life of Flowers will delight visitors with her lyrical and illuminating presentation that offers insights into the world of flowers by exploring their distinguishing characteristics and by sharing fascinating tidbits, tales, and lore. Whether you’re a nature lover, gardener, photography buff, or someone who simply responds to the timeless beauty of the floral world, this presentation is sure to entertain.
While visiting, don’t miss the exquisite sculpture exhibit in the Garden, the inspiring photographic exhibit, Angles, Lines and Curves in the Visitor and Education Center, and the display of flowers taken from the Filoli Cutting Garden. Garden Information Docents, located in the Gift Shop courtyard, will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.
