Annie Hayes started her business, Annie’s Annuals & Perennials, out of her backyard in the late 1980s. In her 2.5-acre Richmond, California nursery she grows everything from seed to cuttings in the wind, rain and sun in the old fashioned way without the use of growth regulating hormones.
Annie selects each plant not only for its beauty and fragrance but also for the natural grace and charm it adds to the garden. Along with an amazing amount of heirloom and cottage garden treasures, “Annie’s” specializes in California natives and Mediterranean climate varieties from around the world, including wondrous South African annuals, perennials and shrubs. Now is a good time to plant for next spring and summer bloom.
