There is an abundance of native California plans that can be used to create natural dyes. Filoli Horticulture Staff Justin Brown leads this exploration to learn about the species that yield dye, how to extract the dyes and finally how to apply them to a variety of fibers such as fabrics and threads. Everyone will get their hands into it and dye samples to take home.
