Anyone who had a reasonable grasp of the original manual will find many, and sometimes bewildering, changes-changes that are not always intuitive or easy to interpret. Since learning to identify native plants involves knowing the basic, common families, this workshop will focus on changes at the family level. We’ll combine presentations, hands-on observation of plants, walks in the botanic garden, and keying to bring these changes home. Please come prepared to learn a lot in a short time, and be sure to bring your copy of the new (2012) Jepson Manual. (please bring lunch)
