Learn in the Garden- Alpine and Rock Gardening

Lakewold Gardens is pleased to bring you our 2017 “Learn in the Garden” lecture series. As a key element in our mission, this program was designed to help educate, train and involve our local community members. This year we are excited to provide six opportunities to increase your gardening knowledge and skills. Each class includes an hour lecture given by an expert in their field followed by two hours of hands-on learning at our National Historic garden. Field training is done in small groups to give you individual attention and ensure you get the most out of your experience. Classes start at 9am. Register early as class size is limited!

Alpine & Rock Gardening: Truls Jensen co-owns Wild Ginger Farm, a small specialty nursery located in Beavercreek, OR near Portland. As a PhD scientist, he has worked extensively researching ecology. In this class, he will share his passion for propagation and specialty plants for rock and alpine gardens. Plants will be for sale after the workshop.
