University of California Botanical Garden presents a Journey Around Color. It is not just a question of color as decoration, the idea of color is far more rich and complex than that. Color can be a useful tool to reach different goals in our everyday lives, homes, offices, and institutions.
Pia Lopez-Izquierdo, Architect and Visiting Scholar in the Department of Philosophy, will lead us through this talk on how colors belonging to our environment can make spaces higher, wider, or more communicative and joyful. Using photos and sketches, Pia will present examples of how color is used to achieve various outcomes. We will also look for our personal color, the one that makes us feel “home”. This presentation will lead us on a fascinating journey around color.
