Hither and Yon in Mexico: A Field Botanist’s Holiday!

Jeff Chemnick studied botany and zoology at San Diego State University and received a B.S. degree in 1976. He is a Research Associate at GannaWalska Lotusland in Santa Barbara and is an authority on Mexican cycads. In addition to his field research on the cycads of Mexico, he founded Mexico Nature Tours in 1999 and leads botanical and ornithological ecotours throughout Mexico with emphasis on the state of Oaxaca.  Over the last 15 years, Jeff has led botanical tours in Mexico on behalf of the directors and staff of botanical gardens around the world.

Jeff will show us spectacular areas that go from cloud forests to rain forests and reveal an array of exotic and beautiful plants.
