Carex Working Group is pleased to offer a two-day workshop emphasizing grasses of NW Oregon. The first day will be spent in the lab learning grass morphology and terminology and keying fresh and dried material. Participants are encouraged to bring their own grasses to work on. The second day will be spent in the field and will emphasize field identification and ecology of grasses. This workshop will be useful for resource managers, wetland consultants, natural area managers, restoration planners, and anyone who wants to cultivate an irrational passion for the less showy plant groups. Workshop participants should have basic plant identification skills.
