Join us for the Arboretum’s first ever Garden Night Photography Group Session with Frank McDonough, Arboretum botanical information consultant and photographer, The evening offers unique photographic opportunities in the garden. Share your night photography techniques with other photographers. Special emphasis will be placed on the ‘Painting with Light’ technique, so bring your big gun flashlights. Only 12 photographers will be allowed to attend this session, so don’t miss this amazing opportunity! Registration required at 626.821.4623. Fee is $30 for Arboretum members and students; $35 for nonmembers.
Equipment Information:
– Mandatory: Headlamps; you need to bring your own headlamp -for safety reasons if you do not have a headlamp you will not be permitted to attend. You can purchase cheap headlamps at Harbor Freight and Home Depot.
– Recommended: Battery powered high illumination lights/flashlights, laser pointers, tripod, and DSLR camera capable of long exposure times.
About the Session Leader: Besides doling out plant advice, Arboretum Botanical Information Consultant Frank McDonough takes pictures of the Arboretum on a regular basis.
