Through the Eyes of a Photographer A View of Western Hills Garden with Saxon Holt

Join Pacific Horticulture board member and nationally acclaimed garden photographer Saxon Holt for the chance to walk Western Hills Garden and see this unique landscape through his expert eye. The morning walk will focus on photographing a complex garden and the afternoon session will concentrate on shooting individual plants under challenging lighting conditions. Each two-hour program includes a directed walk with Saxon and time for each participant to capture their own images with advice and encouragement from him.

Founded by Lester Hawkins and Marshall Olbrich in 1960, Western Hills Rare Plant Nursery was a mecca for gardener lovers around the world. Recently restored to by owners Christine and Tim Szybalski and under the care of garden manager Stacie Miller, the garden is once again open for public tours on a limited basis.
