Drawing from Plants and Flowers

How do you make plants and flowers seem alive and natural in a drawing or painting? Can you smell their scent and feel their fragilility or strength? Using charcoal, pen and ink, and colored pencil we will practice seeing and translating forms from the plant kingdom into works of art that are both energetic and recognizable. Come to this two day workshop in the beautiful UC Botanical Garden to learn from artist Karen LeGault. Students will start loosely and move in for close detail. From field studies to masterpieces, beginners to more experienced are welcome.

Cost:  $190.00 for Members; $200.00 Non-Members
