This beautifully illustrated program follows the step-by-step development of a unique water-harvesting garden in the foothills of Altadena—a now-thriving organic garden that blends fruit trees, native plants and storm water, a garden lush with flowering mounds and rich with pollinators. John is a garden designer and avid practitioner of organic garden cultivation. Leigh is a talented artist in many media—including basketry, gourd, mosaic and glass art.
A program of the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, which has a mission to foster awareness and appreciate of the role of plants in nature and human affairs.
