Award-winning photographer and author Reny Parker invites you to share her passion for wildflowers with a multimedia show on the beauty and diversity of our northern Coast Range wildflowers. Reny is passionate about wildflowers and has photographed them in their wild habitats for more than 27 years.
Reny has recently published a revised edition of Wildflowers of California’s North Coast Range, which now includes Humboldt and Del Norte counties. This edition includes 393 species of plants (35 new species) with over 770 color plates. Easy to use, the guide is grouped by color with close-ups for easy identification. After her presentation, she will sign copies of the book, which can be purchased at the talk for $25 (payment in cash and checks only).
Reny is also the author of the popular photographic guide, Wildflowers of Northern California, which won a silver medal from the Independent Publishers Book Awards. She is active in wilderness conservation and served as past president of the Milo Baker Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. During the spring and summer, she travels the backroads, indulging her passion for wildflowers. She lives off the grid near Cloverdale with her husband and cat.
