2012 Native Plant Sale

More than 1000 plants representing over 50 different native plant species will be available at this sale that includes something for every garden need, including annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.  Experienced members of the California Native Plant Society will be on hand to assist you in your selections.

You’ll be able to purchase more than just plants; also for sale are Theodore Payne Foundation seed mixes, books, field guides, posts, and T-shirts.  Lunch and snacks are offered for purchase. You’ll also find a variety of displays and exhibts by local environmental agencies and non profit organizations.

Each of the two days of the sale features a unique native plant gardening talk:

Saturday, October 27, hear Lorrae Fuentes discuss what’s unique about gardening with California natives in containers, there are a few critical differences between growing natives in containers than growing them in the ground.  Her talk is at 1pm.

Sunday, October 28, Lili Singer will describe how your native garden can have color 12 months out of the year using a variety of trees, shrubs, vines, perennials, and grasses. Her talk is at 1pm.

This sale is a program of the Los Angeles/Santa Monica Mountains Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. Their goal is to increase understanding of California’s native flora and to preserve this rich resource for future generations.
